About Me

I am a wife and a mother of five. I am an ex-Marine, Honorably discharged. I love the Lord and I believe that it is important that we share His word by not only telling people that Jesus died for our sins and was raised on the third day, but sharing our experiences with one another and sharing the lessons that we learn which improves our character.

I've got a dream in my heart
And it's more of a desire that a dream
All I ever wanted to do was please You
Because You go above and beyond everything I ask of You
Unless that which I ask for is just not good for me.
So, I ask many times and the answer's no many times, so I rebel against You acting selfishly.
And You warn me about the harm my actions will cause me and the people I keep in my company.
And I keep rebelling because I don't care. After all in my mind it is all about me.
So, I find myself beaten, battered, torn and alone.
I find my spirit in agony, and hear You calling me back home.
"Forgive me!" I say to You. I've rebelled and sinned against You.
"Forgive me!" I beg You. I ask let me be renewed with You.
Oh, God, I repent. I'll never leave again.
With the Father, I'll stay and be with Jesus in the Holy Spirit until the end.

God Fights Our Battles

It is amazing how mighty God is! I love to praise Him and to sing to Him and about Him. And as I was reading tonight, I read about how the LORD brought a victory to Jehoshaphat, King of Judah in II Chronicles 20. The people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir came to battle against Jehoshaphat. The king and all the people of Judah gathered together in the house of the LORD and Jehoshaphat cried out to the LORD God about their enemies coming to make war and how Judah could not stand against them without God. God sent the prophet, Jahaziel, to Jehoshaphat. Jahaziel told him not to fear because they will not need to fight for the battle is not theirs but the LORD's, to POSITION themselves and STAND STILL to SEE the salvation of the LORD. The next day, they wned to the Wilderness of Tekoa and Jehoshaphat told the people  to BELIEVE in the LORD their God and they will be established and to BELIEVE His prophets and they shall prosper. Then he set up people to sing to the LORD and people to praise the LORD. and they were saying, "Praise the LORD for HIs mercy endures forever." And when they began to sing, the LORD sent out ambushes against the people  of Moab, Ammon, and Mount Seir and they destroyed each other. And when they came to a place overlooking the wilderness they found all their enemies slain and found an abundance of valuables with the dead and took it and were blessed.

Several things I've learned, remembering that we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12) are these:

1. Whenever there's a problem we can't handle, know that God can handle it and take it to him, crying out to him if we feel the need to.

2. God speaks to us through people who are of Him and that we should take heed to what they tell us and we will prosper.

3. If God guides to go to a certain place to be in "position for His blessing, we should go.

4. When God says to stand still, then stand still and we will see his salvation and blessings.

5. God will establish us if we believe in Him.

6. Praise in the midst of the problems moves the heart of God. So, we should praise him, not only when things are good, but when things are bad.

So, I say to the LORD my God, Hallelujah in the name of Jesus Christ!!

Receiving the Holy Spirit

What do we know about the Holy Spirit? We know that it was given to the disciples on the day of Pentecost. (Acts 2:1-4) We know that Jesus was filled with it as soon as He was baptized. (Mark 1:10) We know that John the Baptist was filled with it while he was still, yet, in Elizabeth’s womb. (Luke 1:41) We know that the Holy Spirit was who moved upon the face of the water during the creation of the universe. (Genesis 1:2) We can live everyday in the Spirit of God. We can discern good from evil. We can speak in tongues. We can perform miracles in Jesus’ name. We can rebuke demons and devils. Remember, the Word says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

How does one obtain the Holy Spirit? First of all, know that Jesus prayed for us to have the Holy Spirit. (John 14:16-17) Jesus also said, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” (Luke 11:13)
How does one obtain the Holy Spirit? One must repent and be baptized to receive the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38) BUT one must, also, ask for it. We must desire it and ask the Lord for the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” (Luke 11:9-10)
He also said, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22)
Therefore, if we want the Holy Spirit to live in us, guide us, and work through us, having repented, we must ASK for it. We must desire to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and ask to be. Do we give our children (the ones that can talk) the things they desire if they don’t ask for it? NO! Then, being children of the Most High, why would we not ask for what we want? And if we ask for what we want, that being something good and beneficial, then we should know that we will get it. God gives you what you ask for that is good and not what is bad just as we give to our children what is good and not what is bad. (Luke 11:11-12)

How does one operate in the Holy Spirit? Firstly, and fore-mostly, we must learn how to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and pray in the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 14:15) We must also read the Word of God and let it become written on our hearts. Now, different people have different signs of having the Holy Spirit in the gifts that they may receive. These gifts include: wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophesy, speaking languages not learned, interpreting languages not learned, (1 Corinthians 12:1-11), speaking in tongues (that is in an unknown language directly to God). (1 Corinthians 14:2) Now, one receives the Holy Spirit, and say their sign of the Spirit is a greater measure of faith. Then, one should desire the better gifts and the best gifts to do more for the Kingdom of God and the Body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:31)

Let me close with this: “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesying. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from the appearance of evil. And I pray God your whole soul and spirit and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-23)

Finally Back to Blogging

I haven't blogged in almost two years. And it's not because I didn't have anything to blog about or my faith was being test or anything crazy, but simply because I lost my log in information and couldn't remember it. So I figured that I would remember it eventually or come across one of my blogs eventually and see my username. Though, I hadn't forgotten about blogging, I chose to leave it alone for a while. Just recently, I was praying and telling God that I would like to remember or find the information to my blog so that I can begin blogging again.

Well, Praise Be to God!!

Today, I was searching the web for lyrics to a song that I just so happen to have used for the title of the blog "I Want the Attitudes; Beatitudes". And there it was my e-mail address.. I was so excited. I couldn't help but to thank the Lord and go read the blogs that I have posted.

So, here's the first blog of many to come on life lessons I've learned from the Bible. Today's life lesson is not so much about something that I've read in the Word of God, but about the very experience I had with finding my blogs. I prayed about something, and let it go. I was not even looking for it and it was placed there for me. Now, I know some people may think, "Google did that." but never has this blog come up with me looking for this particular song. And I've been searching. No, it was The LORD God.

Praise and glory be to God!!

Have Faith

It is hard out here for most of us. Most of us have very little material assets. Some have next to nothing. However, what do you have? The things you are good at- the things that you have become skilled at and the talent that was given to you by God. Most of all, you have faith. Have faith and believe that you will succeed if you use what you've got. Don't hide it. Look at the parable of the talents:

"For it is like a man who was about to take a long journey, and he called his servants together and entrusted them with his property. To one he gave five talents [probably about $5,000], to another two, to another one--to each in proportion to his own personal ability. Then he departed and left the country. He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he gained five talents more. And likewise he who had received the two talents--he also gained two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money. Now after a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. And he who had received the five talents came and brought him five more, saying, Master, you entrusted to me five talents; see, here I have gained five talents more. His master said to him, Well done, you upright (honorable, admirable) and faithful servant! You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little; I will put you in charge of much. Enter into and share the joy (the delight, the blessedness) which your master enjoys. And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, Master, you entrusted two talents to me; here I have gained two talents more. His master said to him, Well done, you upright (honorable, admirable) and faithful servant! You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little; I will put you in charge of much. Enter into and share the joy (the delight, the blessedness) which your master enjoys. He who had received one talent also came forward, saying, Master, I knew you to be a harsh and hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you had not winnowed [the grain]. So I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is your own. But his master answered him, You wicked and lazy and idle servant! Did you indeed know that I reap where I have not sowed and gather [grain] where I have not winnowed? Then you should have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received what was my own with interest. So take the talent away from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will be furnished richly so that he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have will be taken away. And throw the good-for-nothing servant into the outer darkness; there will be weeping and grinding of teeth".

Because the servant who received one talent did not have faith, but feared what would happen if he lost the talent given him, he did nothing with it. He hid it and his master was furious. When we don't walk in faith and belief in God and our abilities we cannot and do not gain anything. Matthew 25:29 says, "For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will be furnished richly so that he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have will be taken away." So, if you have faith in God and your abilities, then you can accomplish anything; therefore gaining what you need and want, those things you do not have. Remember you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. (Philippians 4:13)

Leaving the World Behind Me

Now is the time for me give my heart to you, for me to give my soul to you, my Lord.
Now is the time for me give my world to you, for me to give my all to you, my Lord.
Now is the time for me to put my trust in you, for me to leave things up to you, my Lord.
Now is the time for me to pray and follow you, for me to try to be just like you, my Lord.
Living in this crazy world you need a strong backbone.
I"m going to stop living in my fairy tale and start living the truth.
I"m leaving the world behind me because you are in front of me, Lord.
I'm leaving the world behind me and chasing the rainbow which is you, Lord.
I'm leaving the world behind me for you.
Only for Yahweh
Only for Jesus
Only for the Holy Spirit

The Parable of the Sower (Mark 4:3-9,13-20)

The Parable of the Sower

Give attention to this! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Other seed [of the same kind] fell on ground full of rocks, where it had not much soil; and at once it sprang up, because it had no depth of soil; And when the sun came up, it was scorched, and because it had not taken root, it withered away. Other seed [of the same kind] fell among thorn plants, and the thistles grew and pressed together and utterly choked and suffocated it, and it yielded no grain. And other seed [of the same kind] fell into good (well-adapted) soil and brought forth grain, growing up and increasing, and yielded up to thirty times as much, and sixty times as much, and even a hundred times as much as had been sown. And He said, He who has ears to hear, let him be hearing [and let him consider, and comprehend].

The Parable Explained

And He said to them, Do you not discern and understand this parable? How then is it possible for you to discern and understand all the parables? The sower sows the Word. The ones along the path are those who have the Word sown [in their hearts], but when they hear, Satan comes at once and [by force] takes away the message which is sown in them. And in the same way the ones sown upon stony ground are those who, when they hear the Word, at once receive and accept and welcome it with joy; And they have no real root in themselves, and so they endure for a little while; then when trouble or persecution arises on account of the Word, they immediately are offended (become displeased, indignant, resentful) and they stumble and fall away. And the ones sown among the thorns are others who hear the Word; Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless. And those sown on the good (well-adapted) soil are the ones who hear the Word and receive and accept and welcome it and bear fruit--some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some [even] a hundred times as much.
